MY STORY

I am a MN Board Registered Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Acupuncturist, and currently see patients in person and virtually for naturopathic and functional medicine care at Minneapolis Integrative Medicine Center.  I also work with the University of Minnesota Physicians Psychiatry, helping develop integrative medicine services for patients, and teaching integrative medicine to Psychiatry Learners.

I earned a Doctorate of Naturopathic medicine and a Masters of Acupuncture from the National University of Natural Medicine, the oldest accredited Naturopathic school in the nation. I am a Registered Naturopathic Doctor in the State of Minnesota.  I also have a Diplomate of Acupuncture from the NCCAOM, and am licensed in acupuncture in the State of Minnesota. I also completed the Advanced Training with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in 2020 and 2021.

While undergoing a rigorous academic program of concurrent studies in Naturopathic and Classical Chinese Medicine, I completed clinical training that included a three-year mentorship in women’s health. During my Chinese Medicine training, I continued to see a high volume of patients with a range of chronic conditions, including cancer, MS, Parkinson’s, and other autoimmune conditions.  Additionally, Dr. Montgomery completed training in Holistic Pelvic Care, a therapy developed and taught by Tami Kent, PT, to address chronic pelvic issues.

I came to Naturopathic and Classical Chinese medicine via my experience as a collegiate athlete and coach. My personal experience with sports-related injuries led me to explore various approaches to optimize my body’s recovery.  I became interested in learning how to utilize nutrition, movement and other forms of natural healing to keep the body in top shape and prevent injuries.

Prior to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist, I spent six years as a collegiate and youth soccer coach.  During that time I found my passion in teaching young people about a balanced approach to playing and life through a more profound understanding of fitness and nutrition.
